Where can you meet students with academic interests similar to yours?
Where can you show off your talent for writing, speaking, or singing?
Where can you find a place to belong at Forman Christian College?
Answer: The student social societies!

Each academic department has its own society set up to promote interest in and education about their respective fields. In addition, there are societies for special projects or interests: The Debate Society, Photography, Dramatic Society, Folio Magazine, Islamiat, Red Crescent, Forman Christian Life, and the Music Society.

All of the societies provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and to encourage you to be confident. The Societies have faculty advisors and student office bearers. Membership is open to all students and is announced at the beginning of each school year. The office bearers of each society organize seminars, social functions, lectures, and excursions for the members.

The Student Leadership Group (SLG) is a group of students responsible for the planning and organizing of student life on campus. The group works closely with the Administration to provide input about student concerns and issues as college policy is formed. Members of the SLG are chosen from among the office bearers of each of the societies at Forman.

Our goal is for every student to find a smaller group to join on campus. It's an exciting and fun part of being a student at Forman.
