Head of University Sports Office

Reports to:
Head of Campus Life & Wellness

Supervisory responsibility:
Sports operations manager, female sports instructor, office coordinator, sports coaches, support staff and attendants (gym and pool).

Position requirements:
Minimum position requirements:
• 16 years equivalent education with 8 years of relevant work experience.
• 18 years equivalent education with 6 years of relevant work experience

Skills:
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of rules and structures of all sports to be overseen.
• Knowledge of HEC rules and regulations regarding intervarsity tournaments.
• Ability to work with and supervise students and staff hailing from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to work flexible hours in the evenings and weekends when required. Should also be willing to travel outside of the city when needed.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and utilize team building skills to develop effective working relationships.

Job summary:

The Head of University Sports Office will be responsible for the strategic planning, development and management of the sports program in the University. He/she will be responsible for overseeing all aspects pertaining to sports in the University. The Head of University Sports Office reports to the Head of Campus Life & Wellness from the Student Affairs section.

Responsibilities for this post include:

• Developing and implementing a strategic vision for the University Sports Office.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive environment for all students who wish to participate in sports.
• Overseeing the organization of intervarsity and intramural sporting tournaments for the University students.
• Introducing innovative sports programs to enhance student engagement in sport
• Recruiting and managing a team of sports coaches and support staff.
• Hiring technical officials as needed for competitions.
• Developing and managing the department’s budget and ensuring effective allocation of resources.
• Overseeing the procurement and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
• Seeking sponsorship and funding opportunities to support sports initiatives.
• Building partnerships with external organizations to enhance the sports program at FCCU.
• Overseeing the maintenance and utilization of the sports infrastructure and facilities.
• Coordinating with other relevant departments and integrating sports into the overall university experience.
• Advising the sports society and empowering students to contribute in organizing sporting events for the student body at FCCU.
• Supervising evening sports program and practice sessions.
• Utilizing feedback and data to enhance the quality of sports activities, facilities and team performance.
• Ensuring continuous professional development for staff and sports coaches.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards in all sports facilities.
• Serving as a manager for the university teams in HEC intervarsity Championships.
• Preparing departmental publications detailing accomplishments by the students and the services that the department offers.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the administration/supervisor.

Position requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience:
• M.Phil (M.S.) in Environmental Sciences/Engineering with experimental research for degree dissertation
Or
• B.S. in Environmental Sciences/Engineering AND Minimum 1 year experience in practical water/wastewater treatment field (excluding B.S. research)
Or
• B.S. in Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Geology AND Minimum 2 year experience in practical water/wastewater treatment field (excluding B.S. research)

Required Skills:
• Ability to conduct manual/instrumental water analyses, understand and follow the instruction/manual/guideline, patiently conduct given tasks
• Good ability to use Excel and Powerpoint

Advantage:
• Who does/did a ground water treatment – particularly arsenic removal related research for degree dissertation
• Who can use ArcGIS software at a good level
• Who can drive his/her own motorbike or a car

Job Purpose/Summary:
To work together with and assist project staff for a project “Scientific and sustainable application of groundwater treatment technology for safe drinking water supply in Punjab, Pakistan” under the supervision of Senior staff

Responsibilities:
To analyze water quality parameters according to Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater Examination
To prepare/conduct a water sampling filed trip
To assist the operation of a lab-scale, pilot scale treatment plant
To make a literature review report as per the instruction
To draw a chart, graphical illustration with Excel, ArcGIS and/or other software

Working hours:

Minimum Education and Experience:

● Candidates with more than minimum relevant work experience may be considered for a Lead Conduct Officer position.
Skills:

Job Purpose/Summary:
The Conduct Officer will be responsible for creating a safe and respectful campus environment by monitoring activities and enforcing student conduct policies. The Conduct Officer will identify, intervene, and report alleged violations for effective administration of the Student Code of Conduct. The Conduct Officer will collaborate with campus stakeholders to educate students on conduct expectations and promote behavior that aligns with the university’s Core Values.

Responsibilities:
● Assist in enforcing university policies related to student conduct, behavioral expectations and handling other forms of misconduct.
● Identify and intervene in suspected Code of Conduct violations and maintain a safe and conducive campus environment.
● Report infractions and submit Incident Reports in a timely manner.
● Coordinate with other university divisions to proactively address reports of unauthorized campus access, use of restricted substances, disruptive activities, property damage, or threats to one’s physical safety or dignity.
● Address behavioral concerns by reiterating policies and expectations, listening to the student’s perspective, explaining allegations, and outlining the disciplinary process.
● Provide administrative support by scheduling meetings, gathering information, and coordinating with other university departments.
● Provide support in maintaining accurate records related to conduct cases, including notes from meetings, evidence collected, and case outcomes.
● Educate and train students, faculty, and staff regarding university policies, conduct expectations, and other related topics.
● Mediate conflicts and disputes between students or other members of the university community, encourage open dialogue, and seek resolutions that promote learning and personal growth.
● Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities of Lead Conduct Officer (Morning and Evening Shift):
● Supervise, guide, and support a small unit of Conduct Officers.
● Manage shift assignments to ensure entire area of responsibility is adequately staffed and monitored.
● Prepare and submit a daily Shift Report.

Job title: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) Supervisor, TSA/FCCU

Position requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience:
– Preferably 10 years equivalent education with preferably 5 years of relevant work experience.
-A certificate course in Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Air Conditioning with relevant experience would be preferred.

Skills:
– Good technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, generators, and VRF systems and components.
– Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Purpose/Summary:
This position is responsible for managing generators, carrying out daily mechanical/electrical checks of the generator, and maintenance of electrical fixtures, pumps, and pipes.
Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of the VRF system ensuring that the air conditioning system operates efficiently and provides a comfortable living environment for the residents.

Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of fuel level in day tank as well as reserve tank with necessary record keeping.
• Daily check of gensets like water in radiator, batteries, engine oil level, fuel level, and other parameters.
• Noting load of gensets and its other parameters.
• Handling complaints like bus coupling, resetting of gensets, radiator showering, manual operating of breakers etc.
• Troubleshooting electrical, plumbing and air conditioning problems.
• Developing and implementing a regular maintenance schedule for all systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Monitor the performance of systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently and effectively.
• Adjust settings and controls of VRF System as necessary to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the hostel.
• Maintain an inventory of necessary parts, tools, and supplies for the VRF systems.
• Order and restock items as needed to ensure that maintenance and repair activities can be performed without delay.
• Address any concerns or issues raised by residents regarding the air conditioning systems.
• Provide information and support to ensure residents understand how to use the systems properly.
• Coordination and assistance to the FCC Maintenance Engineers/technicians for major works
• Day to day maintenance
• Housekeeping of the work area
• Any task assigned by the supervisor

Physical Requirements:

Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Willingness to be on call for emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
