The Department of Environmental Sciences hosted a seminar titled “Climate Action and Innovation in the Textile Sector” on October 15, 2024. The textile industry is at the forefront of global discussions on sustainability and decarbonization due to its significant environmental footprint. However, new regulations and corporate social responsibility initiatives are driving industries to adopt greener practices. Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) has reached a major milestone in its pursuit of accreditation with the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Rector FCCU, Dr. Addleton and Vice Rector Dr. Trimble traveled to Massachusetts to represent FCCU before the 27 NECHE Commissioners on September 26, presenting the case for candidacy status as the next step in Forman's quest toward initial NECHE accreditation. At the conclusion of the meeting, Forman was officially approved for candidacy status.
