The Department of Mass Communication was established in 2003. It aims to equip its students with all the tools that are required to secure a job or pursue higher research degrees. This is made possible by a dedicated faculty as well as links with the media industry.

Particular attention is paid to the topics of research offered by the Department to ensure that novice researchers learn and properly implement research methodologies suiting their projects. Students get the individual attention of research supervisors at every stage of their research. The Department offers a BA (Hons) degree and is part of the Faculty of Humanities.
