*Lahore, August 29, 2024* – The Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, accompanied by eight officials including the Director and Assistant Directors, visited Forman Christian College University (FCCU) to foster academic partnerships. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration between EPA Punjab and FCCU in various environmental domains.
The Department of Environmental Sciences at FCCU welcomed the visitors by presenting the university’s legacy, programs, faculty, and research areas. The DG expressed strong interest in formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaborative research and knowledge exchange, particularly in air pollution monitoring, water and wastewater treatment, biogas production, spatial analysis, and soil pollution.
During the visit, the delegation toured the university’s labs and was notably impressed with the facilities and ongoing research efforts. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between EPA Punjab and FCCU, aiming to advance environmental solutions through joint initiatives.
