FCCU is proud to announce that its Computer Science student team is among the regional winners of the Microsoft Imagine Cup Epic Challenge 2022 and has qualified for the World Finals of the Imagine Cup. The team ROZ comprises MS CS student Mehr-un-Nisa Kitchlew, and 3 BS (Hons) CS students – Shahreyar Arif Kitchlew, Hamza Asaad, and Ahmad Saad.
Celebrating twenty years of collaborative building, the 2022 Imagine Cup is all about global student innovators building together to make a difference with technology and developing their skills along the way. As part of this, The Epic Challenge was an opportunity for teams to submit their proposal and receive expert feedback from Microsoft’s professional judges and have the chance to win a spot to directly advance to the World Finals round. Out of hundreds of teams worldwide, 3 top teams were chosen from Asia, EMEA, and The Americas. Surpassing its counterparts in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, the RŌZ Development Team garnered the winning position in the EMEA region with a USD 1000 initial grant for Research and Development, securing a direct spot at the Imagine Cup World Finals in May 2022.
