The Advancement and Alumni Office arranged the Annual Alumni Reunion on March 2, 2024. The event was attended by esteemed guests and over 1200 alumni from various walks of life.
Mr. Attiazaz Munawar Ud Din, President of the Formanites Alumni Association (FAA) and CEO of Khazana Enterprises extended a warm welcome to all the guests. He emphasized the importance of alumni revisiting their alma mater to strengthen connections and contribute to the institution’s ongoing success.
One of the highlights of the reunion was the presentation of the Distinguished Formanite Award. This award is given to those outstanding alumni whose significant contributions have left an indelible mark in their respective fields. FCCU takes pride in their success and honors their achievements through this award. This year, the award was given to two distinguished alumni: Mr. Najeeb Ullah Ghuari, and Mr. Shaukat Hassan.
Mr. Najeeb Ullah Ghauri, Chairman and CEO of NetSol Technologies Inc. and a 1975 graduate of FC College, co-founded the Pakistan Human Development Foundation, driving the success of Development in Literacy (DIL) with over 150 schools in rural Pakistan. A key figure in US-Pakistan business relations, Mr. Ghauri’s roles in the US-Pakistan Business Council and OPEN Silicon Valley showcase his global influence. Recognized for his achievements, he received ‘Sitara-I-Imtiaz’ in 2020 for exceptional contributions to business, education, and society.
Likewise, Mr. Shaukat Hassan, Director MAS Group Of Companies, a 1969 graduate of FC College, received this award for his exceptional contributions to education and philanthropy. His leadership in projects like Sabra Hamida Trust (SHT) and a school for underprivileged children showcases his commitment to providing equal educational opportunities.
Dr. Jonathan S. Addleton, Rector FCCU, expressed appreciation by presenting souvenirs to the Alumni Board Members for their exceptional support. During his address at the event, he provided insightful remarks, underscoring the institution’s commitment to excellence. Dr. Addleton emphasized the vital role played by alumni in shaping the trajectory of the institution and commemorated the 160th Founder’s Day, acknowledging the significant contributions of FCCU’s founder, Dr. Charles W. Forman.
The event was widely covered by numerous local and national news channels and concluded with an extensive souvenir sale, followed by a dinner and a mesmerizing performance by the acclaimed artist, Sanam Marvi.
