Scholarships for Bachelor’s (Undergraduate) Students:

Merit Scholarships are offered to high achievers based on their T- Score, which is an aggregate of past academic performance and the Forman Entrance Admission Test (FEAT Accuplacer). The Merit Scholarship award is for program tuition fee only.

25% Tuition Fee Scholarship for all candidates with T-Score 69.

50% Tuition Fee Scholarship for all candidates with T-Score 70 and above.

Prospective students with T-Score of 70 and above would be eligible to compete through a rigorous interview process for:

Rector’s Merit Scholarship – 100% Tuition Fee Scholarship for one prospective student.

Vice Rector’s Merit Scholarship – 75% Tuition Fee Scholarship for one prospective student.

Eligible students will be notified through the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. The Scholarship offer will lapse if not availed on time.

Students who want to stay in contention for the Rector’s or Vice Rector’s Merit Scholarships must apply no later than the July FEAT Cycle and secure admission by the deadline finalized for the July FEAT Cycle.

FCCU offers tuition fee scholarships up to 75% to highly talented and competent players in different sports categories under individual games. The screening process to select a suitable candidate is performed by the Sports Scholarship Committee through trials and interviews. The admission criteria remain the same as for other regular candidates and the following terms and conditions apply:

Scholarships will primarily be offered for individual games, which include athletics, boxing, bodybuilding, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting, and team games on a case-to-case basis.

  • The winner of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) tournament(s) will be considered for the scholarship.
  • The scholarship will be applied to the tuition fee only for one year and will be renewable based on annual performance.
  • For scholarship renewal, students must bring at least one medal by participating in national games, provincial games, or Higher.
  • Education Commission (HEC) intervarsity competitions. Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a clean disciplinary record.

Support in Applying for Government and Other Scholarships

The university also helps students apply for other external scholarships offered by the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF), the Balochistan Educational Endowment Fund (BEEF), and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as well as determining eligibility for designated scholarships and donor-specific categories of scholarships.

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) in partnership with FCCU offers twenty (20) partial tuition fee scholarships to talented and deserving enrolled undergraduate students fulfilling the prescribed criteria:

Must have a Punjab Domicile.

Scored at least 60% marks in the last attained degree. Passed the examination as a regular student from:

  • Government Institution, or Continuing Scholar of the respective institution.
  • As a Private candidate.
  • Private Institution, or Continuing Scholar of the respective institution.

Declared monthly income of parents (from all sources) is

equal to or less than sixty thousand (Rs. 60,000/-).

  • Children of Government employees in BPS 1-4 are exempted from the condition of monthly income if salary is the only source of icome.
  • Children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks are exempted from the condition of monthly income.

Secured admission in the institution as a full-time student in the same academic year as of passing the annual examination.

Fulfill the criteria for award of financial aid at the respective Center of Excellence (CoE) and that is FCCU.

Not availing any other educational scholarship during the respective academic year.

Support in Applying for Government and Other Scholarships

The university also helps students apply for other external scholarships offered by the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF), the Balochistan Educational Endowment Fund (BEEF), and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as well as determining eligibility for designated scholarships and donor-specific categories of scholarships.

The Balochistan Educational Endowment Fund (BEEF) in partnership with FCCU offers full scholarships for Tuition and Hostel fee along with a minimal stipend to talented and deserving enrolled undergraduate students fulfilling the prescribed criteria:

Must have a Balochistan Domicile.

Securing admission is the responsibility of the student. Scored at least 60% marks in the last attained degree.

Private Candidates are also eligible on the condition that they did intermediate from Balochistan and attained at least 60% marks. 2nd attempt (Failure cases) is not eligible.

Marks improvement cases may be allowed if the marks have been improved in the next immediate exam. Pre-marks improvement Detailed Mark Sheets (DMC) should be attached to the form.

In the case of A-Levels/GCSE, IBCC Equivalence Certificate is required.

Must not be older than 23 years at the time of admission. Must not have a 2 years or more educational gap.

Note:

1. The deserving students may apply for need-based financial aid despite availing themselves of any other scholarship offered under various programs.

Following admission acceptance, students who are interested in applying for financial aid should comply with the steps listed below:

The Work-Study Program (WSP) is intended to facilitate students by providing on-campus employment and professional development opportunities. Students may apply online, and the list of eligible students is shared by the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office with the hiring department for selection of the student(s). A stipend is provided to the beneficiary based on the number of hours worked, which is adjusted against the tuition fee.

All financial aid beneficiaries are encouraged to apply for this program to gain valuable work experience and develop key skills.

The university believes that quality higher education should be accessible to all meritorious students, regardless of their ability to afford. The Zakat Fund (Certified) was founded in 2013 to support underprivileged Muslim students in Pakistan’s higher education system. Since its inception, the Zakat Fund has provided Rs. 19.4 million to about 365 Muslim students from poor families.

Financial Aid Applications Submission

The applications of last year financial aid beneficiaries 2021-2022 are being reviewed based on the previously provided information and students will be informed through official email ID (financialaid@fccollege.edu.pk), whether or not  such students need to submit new application for the academic year 2022-2023.

Financial Aid Awards 2022-2023

The financial aid beneficiaries will be notified through official email, soon after the financial aid awards for the above-mentioned period have been processed. The Formanites (FCCU Alumni) can avail 20% tuition fee scholarship in all postgraduate programs including PhD. Students must meet the admission eligibility criteria.

The Association for Women’s Awareness and Rural Development (AWARD) in collaboration with CORTEVA Agriscience and Global Giving is pleased to offer two scholarships worth PKR 300,000/- each to two female MPhil Biotechnology students. AWARD Pakistan is a nongovernmental, non-profit, and non-political organization based in Faisalabad, in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The eligibility criteria is mentioned below:

The Scholarship is only for one year’s tuition fee.

The scholarships will be granted to MPhil Biotechnology students based on their merit determined by the admissions committee.

Females of low-income family backgrounds who are otherwise unable to pay fully for their higher education are encouraged.

  • Students enrolled in fall / spring session (whatever applicable) and morning / afternoon / evening sessions (whatever applicable) are also eligible to apply for PEEF Master’s level scholarship.

Women Empowerment Scholarship:

Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) is offering eight (8) fully funded tuition and hostel fee scholarships (except meals) for the academic year 2024-2025 to meritorious and deserving female students joining our four-year undergraduate program.
The purpose of this scholarship is to prepare women for leadership while also attracting additional students from remote areas of Pakistan to Forman campus by inspiring and enabling women to pursue quality higher Balochistan, Chitral (including Kalash Valley), Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh and are encouraged to apply with following terms and conditions:
• Successful completion of admission requirements.
• Must have Domicile issued by the provincial government of Balochistan, Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or Sindh.
• Demonstrated financial need.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills accompanied by the commitment to serve FCCU community while on campus.
• Preference will be given to first generation university students.

After successful completion of FCCU admission test, high
scorers will be shortlisted and invited for a selection interview. Preference will be given to meritorious yet deserving first generation university students who would otherwise be unable to obtain higher education. Female students from remote areas of Pakistan who are not selected for eight fully funded scholarships are encouraged to apply for Forman’s broader need-based Financial Aid program, providing another mechanism that can be used to help support their university education.

To encourage female students pursue postgraduate studies in specified fields, a 25% tuition fee scholarship is available for MPhil (Applied Economics, Physics, Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, Statistics, and Urdu), MS (Computer Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering), and all PhD programs.

Flood-2022 Relief Scholarship for Baccalaureate Students

FCCU has announced the Flood-2022 Relief Scholarship Initiative for continuing students from flood-affected areas. Over the past several weeks, the Financial Aid team (among others) has received a number of petitions as well as letters of concern from students whose household incomes have suffered due to the catastrophic flooding which affected many parts of Pakistan earlier this year.
In particular, this assistance will help those students who have outstanding fees pending for spring 2022 and earlier periods who have experienced the following situations:
1. Business/Income Decline/Job loss due to Flood-2022, whether experienced by the student or a fee-paying parent or guardian
2. Household damage due to Flood-2022
3. Extensive health bills faced by immediate family members on account of Flood-2022 and/or its aftermath
4. Death of earning family members, thereby significantly affecting family income.
Applications will be reviewed as soon as they are received (click here for the form). Once completed and returned to the Forman Financial Aid Office, the application will be reviewed by a committee that includes both academic and non-academic staff and has been charged with reviewing applications and overseeing the process.

Yes, FCCU offers financial aid to all deserving and academically eligible students.

Are there any merit scholarships offered by the government? 

Students are encouraged to apply for merit scholarships as announced by the government. These scholarships are advertised at FCC. Currently the following scholarships are advertised:

Who can apply for financial aid?
Every applicant who is applying for admission in any program at FCCU may apply for Financial Aid. FCCU does not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnicity, or caste. We encourage students with genuine need to apply.

When can students apply for financial aid?
Provisionally admitted students can apply for financial aid at the time of admission while filling out the online admission application. Candidates, who apply for admission following the announcement of board results, can apply for Financial Aid on starting their classes. Continuing students may apply as the dates are announced by the Financial Aid Office.

What are the criteria of awarding financial assistance?
The Financial Aid Committee assesses the financial need of candidates and determines whether or not the candidate’s family has adequate resources to support the fee at FCCU. The need is determined on the basis of the financial credentials submitted by the student.

Is there any Financial Aid for hostel dues, Mess Charges, books, etc?
The financial aid award accommodates the tuition fee and may be considered for hostel charges as well.

Is it mandatory to submit Financial Aid Form online and in hard copy?
Yes, it is mandatory for all applicants to submit the Financial Aid Form online as well as a print out of the same at window #15, Ahmed Saeed Administration Building.

How many times can a student apply for financial Aid?  

Intermediate students can apply once a year for two consecutive years.
IEAP students are eligible only for one academic year (this counts towards 2 semesters).
Baccalaureate students can apply once a year for four consecutive years.

What is meant by physical verification?
The Office of Financial Aid carries the discretion to physically verify the facts provided through credentials by the student applying for financial aid at any point of time during their tenure at FCCU. It may include a visit to the student’s house/ business or inquiry from neighbors.

How are students informed about their Financial Aid status?
Students are informed through official emails, SMS sent on the contacts provided, as well on their web portals.

Does FCCU offer scholarships other than financial aid?
Yes, FCCU encourages its students to apply for all government and non-government scholarships and loan schemes. We also offer Work Study Program to Baccalaureate Junior and Senior Students in which students work part time in FCC and receive stipends to support their education.

Does everyone who applies for financial Aid receive it?

Yes, students face a fine of Rs 10, 000, permanent rejection and reversal of all previously awarded financial aid in case of providing fake/incorrect information.

Can I apply for the financial aid during the semester/year?
If the financial situation of the student’s family changes drastically due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. natural disasters like flood, death, layoffs from job etc, the student must submit an application with proof of incident at the Financial Aid Information Window to apply for financial aid.
