An Iftar Dinner and Zakat Drive on March 19, 2024, was hosted by The Advancement and Alumni Office, bringing together alumni from diverse backgrounds to contribute towards a noble cause and break bread in the spirit of unity and compassion.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a soulful rendition of Naat, captivating the hearts of the audience. The Master of Ceremony, Dr. Tahir Shaheer, extended a warm welcome, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their presence and emphasizing the significance of the occasion. President Formanite Alumni Association, Mr. Attiazaz Munawwar Ud Din, delivered an insightful address, highlighting the importance of Zakat and the transformative impact it can have on the lives of those in need. Ch. Shafaat Ahmed, from the Zakat committee FCCU shared his perspective on the importance of community solidarity and collective efforts in addressing societal challenges.
The highlight of the event was the pledging session, where individuals pledged their support towards the Zakat drive, reaffirming their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of the young people by making higher education accessible and affordable for them.
Acknowledging the contributions of dedicated donors who contributed in the last fiscal year, shields were distributed as tokens of our appreciation.
The event culminated with a gracious thank you note delivered by the Chief Marketing and Outreach Officer, Mrs. Badia Raza, expressing gratitude to all attendees, for their unwavering support and dedication towards the noble cause.
