Our services are guided by a student-centered approach and a strong belief in experiential learning. We seek to provide our students with the academic knowledge they require combined with the exposure to and understanding of different cultures that international travel and living brings. The programs available to them include semester exchanges, research fellowships and short-term study programs, and Education Abroad assistance for our graduates. Student participation in international education programs continues throughout the academic year.
We are the only South Asian member of the Global Liberal Art Alliance and the Great Lakes Colleges Association and are an Associate Member of the Association of American International Colleges and Universities. In addition to this, we have collaboration and linkages with universities throughout the globe as part of our commitment towards Internationalization of Education. Our many International partnerships and ongoing networking initiatives with International Universities has allowed us to send more of our students abroad each year. We are seeking to increase the number of inbound students as well as sending our own students out.
With every passing day we strive to expand the portfolio of our international partners for student engagement while living up to our legacy; “By love serve one another”.

Nothing compares to the chance to study at another university, in a different country, getting involved in the student life and having the opportunity to live in a cosmopolitan city full of phenomenal natural and man-made beauty with stupendous cultural diversity. I am glad to have been able to take this opportunity and it wouldn’t have been possible without guidance and strong support of the International Education Office, FCCU through all the processes of application, visa getting and accommodation arrangements there. I would highly recommend the exchange program for anyone who can avail it!

Studying in University of Malaya (UOM), Malaysia was one of the most beneficial experiences for me. I gained the opportunity to study in a foreign nation and take in the culture of a new land. I am thankful to the IEO for helping and guiding me throughout the process.

I got to attend the summer program 2018 on “Leadership and Innovation” at Istanbul Aydin University, Turkey. It was indeed a great experience learning in a very different environment with people from around the world. In addition, I also learned to make a career path which will be a huge help for me in the years to come. I would greatly encourage people to try out the summer schools, because every place brings a new experience.

The five-month Korean semester exchange program was the cultural and academic experience that I had waited for a long time but lacked confidence for. IEO helped me to get out of my comfort zone and provided guidance to avail this opportunity. I will forever cherish the independence and courage that this program instilled in me.

Being a recipient of Erasmus+ International Mobility Grant was a delight. I believe as a postgraduate research student a semester abroad honed my analytical skills. Also, it gave me an opportunity to connect with international students, academics and provided me a wonderful chance to immerse in the culturally rich surroundings of London. IEO was a source of constant support and guidance as they facilitated my journey from the very beginning till the end.
Kainat Shakil, Student of MPhil Public Policy
I had the privilege of visiting the United Kingdom for Fall semester 2017. I spent one semester as an exchange student at Middlesex University, London on Erasmus + Scholarship. Studying abroad added another level to my university experience. Choosing to go abroad is choosing to take the plunge into a new world. A world of new friendships, new experiences and freedom. I gained a sense of responsibility and became empowered to make decisions independently. IEO was instrumental in notifying me about this exchange opportunity. IEO was always there to facilitate me in the whole process. Its efforts to collaborate with worldwide bodies and new endeavors are worth praising.

I was selected for the Harvard Crossroads Summer Program in Dubai from among 4,000 applicants from 11 countries. The selection was made under a rigorous selection criteria set by the Harvard University, USA. A batch of 52 students/graduates were invited to the newly launched trans-national summer program by the Harvard University (SAI) and Harvard Club of the GCC in collaboration with Dubai International Financial Center and the UAE government. It was a weeklong intensive course on Dubai as a hub of international business and trade. I owe this accomplishment to my mentor Associate Professor of English, Dr. Summer Pervez and my teacher Assistant Professor of Sociology, Shahid Rasheed, both of whom wrote wonderful recommendation letters for me. I am also thankful to the International Education Office for helping me during various stages of the selection process. The Office is unique in that it helps students apply for international scholarships and exchange programs.

My 14-day visit to Istanbul Aydin University, Turkey, under the cultural exchange program of the International Education Office gave me the opportunity to interact with a different culture and traditions. I thank Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) for giving me this wonderful opportunity and believe more students should join such programs, which not only allows them to travel abroad but also to enrich their learning experience.
