An MoU was signed between and Department of Mass Communication – Forman Christian College – A Chartered University and Directorate General of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Government of Punjab (SWD) for mutual support and collaboration.
Director General Social Welfare Mr. Mudassar Riaz Malik and Vice Rector FCCU, Dr. Douglas E. Trimble were the chief guests on the occasion. Registrar FCCU Brig (r) Dr. Nayer Fardows, Deputy Director NGOs Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal, Manager Human Rights Crisis Center SWD, Ms. Rabia Usman, Chairperson Department of Mass Communication, Ms. Rachel Hasan, FCCU, Assistant Professor and Coordinator Media Center, Mr. Syed Saqib Saleem were also present on the occasion.
The MOU is aimed at fostering collaboration between FCCU and SWD through various awareness and advocacy campaigns, research and community work. FCCU will create awareness campaigns for antidrug and domestic violence among students and community at large. SWD will facilitate FCCU students to do internships and community service.
