Brief Profile
Over 40 years of teaching, research, and professional experience in various universities and Government of the Punjab Health Department at senior positions of drug control administration, hospital settings, policy making, and drug procurement. Ex-Member Punjab Pharmacy Council, Medical Devices Board Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Government of Pakistan, and HEC committee for review of PhD/MPhil programs. Member of Pakistan Pharmacists Association and Pakistan Association for Advancement of Science. Involved in teaching and research at graduate and post-graduate level. Research interests include synthesis, characterization, pharmacokinetics, and product development of new drug molecules. Currently my group is working on the IRIF FCCU funded project: study of the inhibitory activities of some thiols and copper thiolates against thioredoxin reductase. HEC- approved supervisor.
