Brief Profile:
Dr. Asher Ramish is a result-driven academician with more than 23 years of cross-cultural experience in academic and corporate settings. He brought with him the concepts and knowledge about the revolutionary field of Supply Chain Management from abroad in 2003. He possesses the technical ability of strategizing as well as executing an education ecosystem, entrepreneurial fabric within the curriculum, knowledge focused research culture and performance based management of diverse teams. On one side, Asher has got vast exposure towards curriculum development and assessment design and on other side he is passionate about fostering critical thinking and inspiring lifelong learning. He has a proven ability to enhance the student / employee performance through effective instructions, mentorship and coaching. He is proficient in utilizing a variety of instructional technologies to enhance learning experiences of his pupil. He is also highly adept at bridging the gap between theory and practice through his application centered teaching methodology, equipping learners with practical skills and knowledge. Asher is known to be one of the educationalists in demand due to his versatile and friendly style of interaction.
Asher has also conducted numerous workshops in several academic and management training sessions in Pakistan in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Operations & Production Management, Logistics Management, Warehousing Management, Inventory Planning and Management, Problem Solving, Decision Making skills, Service Operations Management, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Strategies, Procurement, Vendor Selection and Development, Distribution Networks, RFID, BPO, CPFR and Project Management. Professionals from major companies have attended these trainings on various topics, either in an open enrollment or customized format. Asher has also provided specialized consultancy services to textile, footwear, packaging, manufacturing, chemical, education and cattle feed industries in the areas of purchasing, planning, production, distribution, inventory & strategy. He is keen to help organizations develop the performance management and measurement systems (performance dashboards) through the help of business process re-engineering and process mapping tools.
He has received foreign trainings from world renowned Kepner-Tregoe Strategy Consultants and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants on Problem Solving and Decision Making as well as Strategic Management, Intercultural Management, Product Development and Production Management. He is also a certified faculty in teaching and research from George Mason University, USA and as well as certified Carbon Literacy Trainer from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Asher has authored more than 20 research articles and case studies in his ardent area too. He is member reviewer board for a handsome number of impact factor journals. He is also editorial board member of two supply chain journals that are indexed in SCOPUS. He successfully supervised more than 30 MS theses. Asher has completed his PhD in the area of Supply Chain Performance Measurement from Putra Business School, Malaysia (AACSB Accredited Business School). Previously, he has done his MS in Production Management from Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, on full scholarship sponsored by a world renowned German company Koerber AG. He also holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.
