BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Iahtisham-Ul-Haq is currently serving as Assistant Professor at Kauser Abdulla Mallik School of Life Sciences at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), (FCCU) Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his PhD (Food Technology) from National Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFSAT), University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan. The core objectives of his research interests are to unveil nutrient-specific mechanisms for disease management, exploring new horizons for food product development to uplift community nutritional status, and novel & smart packaging to ensure food safety. Dr. Iahtisham-Ul-Haq is an active Life Member of the Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists (PSFST), Technical Advisor to the Nutritionists Society of Pakistan and he has recently been decorated with Honorary Membership from The American Society for Nutrition due to his continuous contributions in the field of food and nutrition. Nowadays, his research team is working on AI-based prediction models and personalized nutrition plans for lifestyle related disorders, development of smart food packaging to ensure safe food value chain, quantitative methods for food adulterants, plant-based product designs to address malnutrition, and strategic management models for year-round supply of fresh fruits and vegetables at static price.
