Profile:
Dr. Khalid Javed is a Professor of Physics at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Lahore, Pakistan, with over 20 years of experience in teaching and research. He completed a Postdoc (2023-2024) at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, and holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics (2011-2015) from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. His academic journey also includes a MPhil and MSc in Applied Physics from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan as well as MSc in Computer Science from the University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore, Pakistan. Since joining the faculty at FCCU in September 2015, he has contributed to both the academic and administrative domains of the univesity. He has served as the Chair of the Physics Department (2019–2023) and as an advisor for the BPS society (2016–2019). Prior to his tenure at FCCU, he was a faculty member at COMSATS University, Pakistan from 2008 to 2015. He has ~43 publications in international reputed journals (as on September 2024) with impact fact ~155. He also serves as a reviewer of several reputed journals, including Nanoscale, Nanomaterials, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials etc.
