Brief Profile
Dr. Bhatti has well-rounded experience in teaching, administration, and research. His 35-year-long and productive career of diversified teaching ranges from intermediate to Ph.D. levels. His areas of interest include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics. He has also taught for more than ten years as a visiting faculty member at the Department of Economics/School of Economics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
Dr. Bhatti is presently serving as the Chairperson, Department of Economics, FCCU. His tenure as Principal of Government Gordon College, Rawalpindi, was successful prior to this. Upon assuming the role of principal, he implemented several measures aimed at enhancing the prestige of this venerable college by revitalizing both academic and extracurricular pursuits. As a result, the college won two awards in the BISE Rawalpindi and took first place in the Punjab English Essay Competition.
His research papers have been published in HEC-recognized journals and presented at international conferences within Pakistan and abroad. Twelve MPhil students have completed their theses under his supervision.
He has worked as a member of the HEC Scientific Review Panel in the discipline of Management Sciences; and the Board of Studies (Economics), University of the Punjab, and Lahore School of Economics. He is also the Chief Editor of the Forman Journal of Economic Studies (HEC-recognized Y-Category Journal). He has also worked as an Advisor and a Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) representative to the Punjab Public Service Commission.
