Brief Profile
Kashif Shafique holds the position of Assistant Professor of Geography at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University). Concurrently pursuing his doctoral studies, he earned his MPhil in Environmental Management from the National College of Business Administration and Economics, Lahore. With a robust academic background, his teaching career spanning over 20 years in various institutions across Pakistan, he has been an esteemed member of the Geography faculty at FCCU since August 2003. Notably, he served as the Chair of the Department from 2009 to 2023.
He has authored numerous chapters on social studies, geography, and Pak Study books for the Punjab Textbook Board and FCCU. Additionally, his commitment to academic leadership is evident through his multiple engagements as a member of the National Curriculum Committee. In this capacity, he played a crucial role in revising and updating the Geography Curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Recognized for his expertise, he has also served as member Advisory Board of the Population Research Center (PRC) at the university. Furthermore, his affiliations include membership in the Pakistan Geographical Association, Honorary Advisor to the Board of Advisors of Safer Masses Training and Consultancy (SMTC) in Lahore, and membership on the Board of Studies of various universities in Lahore.
Kashif’s scholarly endeavors extend to his prolific publication record, encompassing several research papers in reputable national and international journals. His research focus spans the domains of environment, geography, GIS, and remote sensing techniques.
