BRIEF PROFILE
Iffat Sayeed has recently been inducted as a regular faculty member at FCC University. Her domain is literatures in English language. She has enjoyed a diverse teaching experience at graduate and post graduate level. She believes that her best introduction is the vast student body that she has been privileged to interact with and learn from an investment of thirty years that has enriched her intellectually and creatively.
Translation from Urdu literature into English language remains her favorite preoccupation. In this connection she has had a long association with Academy of Letters and her translations of classic and contemporary literatures have been published in many national and international journals from this platform.
One of her proud contribution is an article on Professor Mrs. U. Sirajudin published by the Institute for the development of National Language and History entitled Roshni kay Safeer.
Her most recent publication is a coffee table book entitled Three Contemporary Artists. The book features poems by Yasmeen Hameed and Rizwan Akhtar and is illustrated with miniature works painted by Heera Khan.
It is printed by the Department of Press and Publications University of the Punjab, Lahore.
One of her short stories is published in the anthology The Stained Glass Window put together by Sana Munir and Taha Kehar from the platform of Liberty Books.
